Invitation to the palace
April 2015. Studio Muzi & Associati compares itself with the restoration of Palaces, through different historical periods, with works of inestimable artistic value. As in the case of the recent redevelopment and renovation of the Unicredit Headquarters of Palazzo De Carolis in Via del Corso, Rome.
Thanks to the sensitivity and respect with which the involved actors have approached the theme, from the State to the Bank, it has been possible to expand and enrich the spaces for the exhibition of works of art and precious books belonging to Unicredit heritage.
We have therefore transformed a narrow technical area of “‹”‹the first floor, in a new exhibition gallery, which is also a link, not existing before, between two areas of the Palace.
The physical connection between the areas of the Palace is also and above all an ideal trait d’union between the epochs of art.
Inside the Gallery, the Bank commissioned the realization of a work to the artist Giuseppe Caccavale: “Un Daccapo “, a fresco made with ancient technique and with the help of a team of artisans-artists: mixture of lime, river sand and pigments. The subject of the fresco, a theme dear to Caccavale, is the architecture of spelling, the study of the characters of writing, which he sublimates in a new return to the essence of art, with an awareness that today seems lost: “go from the beginning “, In fact, and start a new course.
